24 years!

Today is our 24th wedding anniversary!

Here is the love of my life!

He is such a great father...and coach!
He's a great father to these boys too:)
He works hard ALL the time!
He is a good friend and can make anything!
He made these benches and re-purposed this table.
He especially makes me laugh! I love you so much Todd!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

irene...stay away!

Hurricane Irene...stay away from the Fripp Family Fun House!
We just had our Fripp home painted this summer!
It is no longer blue it is now...
...a grayish greenish color!
The trim and wood decks are not finished in these "after" pictures (it is just an off-white color).
I haven't seen the finished product yet.
Look at how much the landscaping has grown!
Please Irene, don't blow down my palm trees:(

I'm just glad that I didn't lay down any pine mulch yet...I think that I want to do rock around the landscaping anyway.
BE KIND IRENE, BE KIND!

Look to your left...he is in between two african american knobs.
He looks so handsome!
This was taken last Monday evening when he was marching to the oath ceremony.

it's been a week!

Well, he did it! He was up in the air over FL for an hour and a half.
Congratulations Chad!!

And, my sweet niece Kiely officially received her masters degree in business AND hospital administration in the mail!
Now it's wedding planning time!
We all should know Monday when the date for their wedding will be!
I found Evan in some pictures that The Citadel posted on fb. He is far left standing in front of the African American boy. This was when he still had hair!
Here he is in two pictures after his hair is shaved.
In the first picture he is second from the
right, four rows up.
And in the picture above, he is fourth from the right, four rows up.
It has been "hell week" this week. His phone was taken away first thing and won't be given back until August 23 at 10:00pm so we have not talked to him since last Saturday!!!
The Citadel photographers will never know how grateful I am for them capturing Evan in pictures and giving me a glimps into his week!

Graham is in the stands in the clip above. He was called down in front because he had pink on from head to toe, but he didn't make the final cut. So proud of the students, staff and community for rallying for Andrea tonight. She is a victim of the State Fair stage collaps. Her skull was crushed when the stage fell and is now fighting for her life.

And finally, today I took Doug and Vladimir to the groomer (cousin Lindsay Ballenger).
 Doug
Vladimir
No, that is not poop on the ground behind them!
It is there favorite thing to find outside and bring inside to eat...
...mulch! ugh!

last good-bye's and matriculation day

Evan wanted to come home after CSI for the week. He met up with some high school friends, worked out and had endless dentist and doctor appointments.

Molly came over to say good-bye.
They exchanged college t-shirts. Molly will be attending IU in the fall.
Evan went to say good-bye to his "Lapel friends". The picture was taken with a phone under bad lighting so it's not too clear.

Lizzy had to take pictures at the football field and wanted Evan to go. I know that it was hard saying good-bye to her:(

This is miss Sophie Kay and Evan.
Now, that is a good cousin that would let his little cousin put a headband with a ribbon in his hair and a necklace around his neck the night before heading to The Citadel!
She wanted him to solve the rubics cube and was so excited when he did;)
Here he is playing around with Sarah and Sophie. I love this picture:)
Thanks for having us over for dinner Troy and Theresa! That was Evan's last good dinner before heading to The Citadel. Please look after him for us while we are twelve hours away:(

We took our last picture with Evan in one of my favorite spots on the island.

The marsh was really flooded due to all of the rain Fripp has had and the full moon.
Well, Matriculation Day has arrived.
Evan is in Battalion 1 Company Bravo!
Here is the "welcoming committee"! He went to sign in and was told he was a slob, a liar and an idiot! After that nice greeting, he went up to his room and changed into his PT outfit. He then came down to get us and move all of his belongings up.
The Cadre for Bravo Company
Here is Company Bravo going to lunch
Can you see Evan? Look to your right. There is a Cadre whose hand is extended out and he is right there. (he has red on the soles of his shoes)

It is hard to see his face but again, look to your right and he is behind the boy with the watch on his right hand.
This is his PT outfit.
They have to wear a camel pack on their back and keep it full of water so they won't get dehydrated.
He will have his hair shaved off tomorrow, get his uniforms and be sworn in. You can go to
at 7:00pm tomorrow and watch the ceremony!
Go get 'em E!!!!
