20 and 18...wow!

These two boys are 20 and 18 years old this week!
This picture was taken on our lot before we built our home...33 was our lot number.
Evan was 5 and Graham was 3.

I love so many things about this picture~
the Fripp shirts, the lot on which they're standing, their sweet smiles,
the haircuts that I used to give them,
and the dandelion Graham is holding that he gave to me later :)

I look back on these pictures and can't believe how fast time flies!

My two MEN!
So proud of you both and love you so much it hurts!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

170th birthday!

The Pipers opened up the barracks for Corps Day 2013

It's a birthday party of sorts.
This year marks 170 years of The Citadel!
(each flag represents the state or country of an attending cadet)

The Citadel Story performed by the Regimental Band and cadet re-en actors chronicles the college's role in all the major military conflicts since the Mexican War.

However, the main attraction is this...

...the "changing of the guards".
This distinguished group of men are known as
The Summerall Guards
and this is the passing of the "torch" from the
2013 to the 2014 guards.

Evan and his friend Matt watching.

I wasn't able to be there but gma and gpa were.
Thank you so much for going and for taking pictures!

Evan on the left.

Evan and Matt

This was on Evan's door.
He is now
Sgt. Evan McMullen ;)

He made it to Fripp to spend some time with gma and gpa.
Mom said he slept 14 hours straight!
It looks like he had quite a bit of laundry!!

He does look very tired here!
Thanks mom and dad for looking out after him!

in like a lion!

It was an absolutely breathtaking morning with last night's snowfall blanketing the landscape!

God sure knows how to use whites and greys...

...a lot of white!

Not a one branch was left without snow.

My hydrangea bushes look like a piece of art!
They look like they need to be at the bottom of the sea.

I really am tired of the snow and so ready for Spring,
but I just couldn't hate the canvas God painted last night while I
was all comfy in my bed.

Vladimir and Doug liked it too!
These two will sleep good tonight!!

Looking forward to 50+ temps this weekend!!
That's Indiana weather for ya :))
