Evan and Lizzy
Prom 2012
Evan was told he could leave The Citadel early because,
"One, it will make your girl happy, and two, you have gold stars."
Whew! Who says it doesn't pay to be smart ;)
So, after he unloaded his car and found his uniform...
...he then started to shine, and shine and measure, and shine
and...well, you get the point!
this is the work in progress
I'm so glad he was able to take Lizzy to her Jr. Prom!
Evan dropped Lizzy off at the park and went to find
a parking place...good luck! The place was packed!
But, it gave me a chance to take all of the necessary pictures ;)
Lizzy did her own hair and she did a great job!
I made her wrist corsage
And, her "glass slippers"! I say that because a little girl
walking by said, "Mommy, look! There's Cinderella!"
While pointing to Lizzy :)
Lizzy's mom soon came
Evan soon joined us
Someone snuck up behind Evan and surprised him
It's his old doubles partner Zack!
We were all happy to see him. I was really happy
when he told me that he would be going into
The Air Force when he graduates!!
He is going to study, "something medical,"
he said.
Lizzy's mom and dad
Someone else surprised us...
Evan's fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Carpenter!
This is Melody's little girl, Claire.
Claire was mesmerized by all of the gowns.
She didn't realize that we were watching her when she
reached as far over as she could to try to touch that dress!
She was also very worried about the little gnats and ants that
were landing on Lizzy's train. She kept leaning over and brushing them off :)
This is one of Evan's grade school buddies, Cody.
Cody just came home from Purdue to take his girl.
This is Lizzy's bff, Holly.
When I first met Lizzy I told her that Lizzy was my
best friends name growing up and she told me
that her best friends name was Holly :)
Kevin and Evan graduated together.
Kevin finished his first year at Indiana State University.
He is studying to be an airline pilot.
Kevin and Kelsey
Kelsey and Lizzy are both Juniors and are cheerleaders...
the hands on the hips are a dead give-a-way, huh?!
Some more old friends stopped by to say, "hi!"
This is another classmate of Evan's, Elizabeth :)
And another classmate, Autumn who just returned
from Auburn.
Grandpa and Grandma were there...
...being very ornery!
Evan shouted, "Brace!" and this is what they did! lol!
Lizzy and Emily
Boy, that pretty aqua and light blue colors
were very popular this year!
Graham's girl, Shelby came by!
She and Graham couldn't go to the prom because she
is a freshman and only juniors and seniors can attend :(
Graham wasn't there because he drove to Ft. Wayne for a
tennis tournament.
Shelby and her pretty momma, Julie.
Just a few more pictures!
Then it was time to say good-bye!
Have a great time!!
After mom and dad and I left the park we went here...
well, we didn't actually mean to go here!
I used voice command to find Kiely's new house and
it took me to this place, 13947 Morningside Circle, NOT Morningtide Circle! lol!
Funny thing, it wasn't all that far away from...
...this place! This is the new house that Alan and Kiely are moving into in June!!
The best part about it is, it's only 10 minutes away!!!!!
I will TRY not to be on your doorstep too often BUT, when you
have a baby...all bets are off! lol!
I am soo happy for you both!
This is their address...no need to plug it in anymore!
They have the most beautiful knock out roses!
The whole entry of the subdivision is lined with them.
It was a beautiful way to end our evening.
