clean up day at the courts!

Every year before the first home match the tennis boosters get together and clean up around the courts...this year we had awesome help, which was a good thing because there was lots to do!
Tennis balls with the boys names on them had to be hung.
Weeds...lots of weeds...had to be whacked, pulled and sprayed!

A new barn door had to be hung and the old door re-purposed into a ramp.

Then it was in dire need of paint.
So were the bleachers and benches.
We started at 9:00 and were done with the maintenance part around 11:00!

Great help and good job everyone :)

Then, it was time for the really fun part...
painting the sidewalk with the seniors names from the past three years.
Yes, I started this project when Evan was a senior and all that I got done was
painting a green square...that's it!
Thank goodness I didn't go any further because it never would have turned out
so good without help from our dear friend Tony!!

This is Tony. Everyone should have a "Tony" in their lives! lol!
He has been an engineer, a priest, a counselor and is currently a stock broker.
But most importantly, he is an artist and volunteered his time to help me today :)
Here he is chalking out his design.

A little ways into the project...I painted the tennis balls ;)

Ceci, Tony's sweet wife came to help!

And these guys came to help play!

A last minute thought...

 Evan's graduation year!
 Last year's seniors.
Graham's senior classmates!
(the names with stars under them indicate the years as team captain)

There is still chalk on the green but the rain will wash that off...otherwise,
it is finally finished!!!
Thank you Tony!
Afterwards, we went back to our house and Tony cooked an Italian meal that was out
of this world...oh yeah, he can also cook!
Thank you, Ceci for sharing him all day today!

I'm so thankful for good friends...it is always so much fun when we get together :)
Love you both so much!
