Homecoming 2012
Such a fun weekend in in Pendleton...but I will get to that in a minute!
It was a beautiful day on September 11, so I decided to get the house ready for fall
and more importantly for homecoming weekend!
I bought some mums and...
pansies to spruce up the front door planters and...
the window box planters.
The geraniums and ivy needed a little fall color!
It is so hard to believe that summer is coming to an end.
The burning bush is a sure sign of that!
I will sure miss the "back porch sittin'"!
And pool swimmin'!!
But, I do love the bright blue skies and brilliant colors of fall flowers.
Not to mention the crisp cool weather!
And-
It always means...HOMECOMING!!
The last PHHS Homecoming for us :(
Here is Graham getting ready to ride on the float in the parade.
He is trying to decide which way to wear his hat...
Forwards or...
...backwards?
He went with forwards.
Don't you just love how the dogs are wondering who the heck that is? lol!
These were taken in the park before the parade.
The float theme was "outdoors".
So the Seniors made a truck that moved up and down the "hill".
Graham worked on the lights and lettering here.
The initials RN and ZW are for Seniors that died when they were Sophomores.
I love how they still included them to this day.
He also worked on drawing and spray painting this grill and again the lights.
Graham and one of his best friends and tennis friend Evan.
I think that they are ready to go!!
This was the Juniors float and the winning float.
Pendleton played the Mt. Vernon Marauders and that is what's for dinner here!
I ran into Graham's girl, Shelby.
This was her class float!
The firetrucks always start the parade and then the band is next.
Our Church had a little float.
This is the Pastor and one of his girls.
Oh yeah, it's not a parade without the desert patrol!
Cheerleaders
One of Graham's other really good friends, Cody, was on the boys soccer float.
And one of my really good friend's son, Beau was sitting next to him!
Graham's elementary school float and his old principal.
Our friend Tom's truck was being used for a girls basketball team.
Here is Karen, Tom and my mom and dad enjoying themselves at the parade.
I took this picture for my mother-in-law.
Elvis forever!!
This was the Freshmen float.
It is so hard as a Freshmen but I thought that they did a really nice job.
It is a big shoe crushing the "Marauder".
Next was Shelby's class float.
Juniors float...yep, he's still roastin'!
And here come THE SENIORS!!
Graham is cheerin' his heart out!
The truck blew smoke out of the smoke stacks.
The next day is the dance.
Shelby and her parents and sister came over to take pictures before they
went out to dinner.
Here is G washing his car.
And here they are!
I have lots of pictures so...
ENJOY!
Told ya!!!!
L O T S of pictures
Have a great time at the dance!!
I love Homecoming in Pendleton...(sigh)
