summer on fripp island!

So, June 20th we (me, my friend Kim, Graham, Brett, Rishi, Grandma Kay, Vladimir and Doug) took off for Fripp. Graham has been playing tennis everyday since he got here, Evan has been at The Citadel for their summer program, and I have been supervising the painter, mowing, and entertaining! Here are a few pictures of our time here so far. We will be heading home the first week of August.

My friend Kimmie came down for awhile!
We had such a good time and many laughs...speaking of which, the next pix that we took at the airport before she left and we about wet our pants when we looked at it to see if it was okay or if we had to take another one...
You have to know Kim and our loud laughs and mouths period! The place echoed with our laughter:)

I think that we could pass as family in this pix don't you?!

Brett and Rishi left a week later.
They are always sooooo much fun to have around!
Doug

After we got home from the airport we all relaxed on the back porch!
Next in was Todd, Lizzy and Evan!
Lizzy was with us over the fourth until Evan had to start at The Citadel for the CSI program.

Evan, Graham, Lizzy and Grandma Kay playing baggo on the green
The fourth of July parade was the next day!
Here is Miss Sophie Kay as Amelia Earhart and Sarah:)
soo cute:)

Theresa made the float the night before the parade...pretty impressive!

Scooby came along for the ride in Sarah's basket. She dyed one of his ears blue and one ear red!

So sweet!

Here they are...
...and there they go!
Great job guys!!
The float that took first place
and is a thorn in Thresa's side;)

I took this one for Chad!!!!
Go Navy Seals!
Awesome! What a great parade!

The theme this year was American Hero's!
Later that afternoon Graham played in the Pro exhibition at the racquet club.
Kyle, an intern for Troy, was Graham's partner.
Here they are seeing who will serve first.

Graham in action!
Eating out the night before visiting The Citadel!

Barracks
It was sooo hot in there.
I cannot imagine dressing in their wools and lining up for the parade...whew!
Such a beautiful day!
Inside the Chapel.
I took a pix of the Indiana flag...all 50 fly in there.
One of these friday afternoon's I will be sitting in the bleachers
watching my little soldier march!
What a beautiful campus...
I don't think I could study in a place like this;)
This is what Todd did most of the time he was here.
Graham wants to play tennis in college. We taped a lot of lessons and match play and Todd has set up a web page to send out to colleges he is interested in attending.
Here is Graham and Kyle playing a match so we could tape some match play...I think we should tape Graham all the time because he won:)
Good job, Buddy!
The next day was Todd, Evan and Lizzy's last day on the island.
Here is Evan's room during CSI. Todd is busy setting up his printer, Graham is texting, and I'm not sure what E is doing. Lizzy, Grandma and I are holding back the tears!

Mom and I didn't do so well!
It was quite an emotional day!

We said our good bye's and I drove back to the island crying all the way! I came home and started cleaning right away because some of Todd's cousin's were coming to visit:) While I was upstairs, Doug and Vladimir decided it would be the perfect time to tear up a bunch of toilet tissue!
Here they are!
This is the first pix taken out of many for the short time they were all here!
What a great bunch of kids!
Graham, for being the only boy in the house you did great!!
First day/afternoon at the beach...right after they got here:)
We stayed until 5:30...
I didn't think that we would ever get Sandy and Lily off of the beach!
Mom and I...I am hiding my body behind the chair!

fb pose of Sandy and Gretchen!

Afternoon visit from Barry!
Evening golf cart ride!

Three hour Tabu game..."McMullen's against the "Bane's."
Wow, I looked at the date on each of these pix
and we did so much from the time they arrived at 3:00!
Off to take a golf cart ride and see the sights of the island!
This is a cute sight...
but no Doug and Vladdy, you can't go this time:)

A nice gentleman took this one so Sandy could be in it!

Barry being ornery! I just love him!

Good night sun...
...hello moon!

Another fun day at Fripp

Goofy girls! I love Sophie's expression!

Here are some goofy guys!
This is their favorite time of the day...playing and running around on the green!

Talk about playin'...these four killed time playing corn hole and fuse ball while we were waiting on our table at Boondocks!

Sandy surprised us and brought Mammy with her...even though I asked her a million times to come down before I left! I even drew out diagrams of where everyone could sleep and I still couldn't convince her...I'm glad you did Sandy, it wouldn't have been the same without her:)

We killed time taking pictures...
I know you're shocked, right?!

IT WAS SOOOO WORTH THE WAIT!!!!
Ellie and Graham I don't know how you did it!

I just love this family!
Tennis, surprise party and a scary movie were on the agenda for the next day!
Ellie
Troy and Graham
Graham and Ellie had a morning tennis lesson...
honestly, I do not know how in the world they were able to move after eating all of that shrimp!

Surprise Troy!!!!!
Theresa and the girls made Troy's cake.
Not only was it cute but it was also delicious!
We had a spread!
"What's this?!"
Troy was saying because he blew the candles out but they lit right back up!
Devin, Greg and Stacy's little boy, had a blast trying to blow them out:0

All comfy and ready for the movie!
(If Kyle would ever go home! lol!)

Last day on the island:(
Until next year, I loved the time I was able to share with Todd's cousins...
I only wish that he and Evan could have been here!
What a special time that I will never forget and I will ALWAYS remember!

My childhood friend Misty came in next...I will have to wait until she sends me her photos before I post that visit. Next, Graham's private tennis coach and friends are coming in on Saturday!

More pictures to come as we finish the last weeks here in paradise!

Great pics! I wish we could have been there this year, but hopefully next! This 4th of July just wasn't the same not being at the Fripp Family Fun House! Miss you guys! We've heard from E a few times since he's started at the Citadel and are so glad he seems to be liking it :) Love!
